Our first short term rental redesign, this Great Barrington property will always be special to us because it showed us how far some vision and a little creativity could take a property with lots of potential—but in desperate need of attention and love. This historic home was built in 1886, underwent a very 1970’s reno, and hadn’t been touched since then. We installed new cork floors, put up walls to divide the toilet from the primary bedroom (yes, really), and decorated it to created a warm and colorful short term vacation rental in the Berkshires that guests have loved ever since.
